The Adler Waterproof (part of the Wildnis range) 8x30 normally sells for £68.95 - we're offering them for £38.49 inc UK p&p!. These superb medium-sized roof-prism rubber armoured and fully waterproof and nitrogen purged binoculars offer 8x magnification in an ultra-rugged body. They are fully waterproof and can stand immersion in 1 metre of water for 2 minutes. The Adler Waterproof is nitrogen gas filled to eliminate fogging due to temperature change. They are ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Armoured for stealth and protection Full rubber armouring gives maximum protection and grip, whilst making the binocular easy to hold when wet, even with gloved hands. The rubber armour also makes the binocular near silent when handling in the field. Long eye-relief - over 16mm The eyepieces have extra-long eye-relief (16.2mm) and feature deep soft-rubber fold-down eye-cups to ensure user comfort and full field of view for those with or without spectacles. They are supplied with padded soft carry-case and neck strap. Adler quality optics. The BK-7 optics (prisms and lenses) are fully anti-reflection coated for maximum brightness and contrast. What's so great about the Adler Waterproof 8x30? The Adler Waterproof has an excellent build quality that is much higher than its moderate price point would suggest. The binocular has an high-qulity feel, and the body design is comfortable and the the mechanical controls for focus and dioptre adjustment are smooth and easy to use. The waterproofing has been achieved to a high standard and this means rigid mechanics and a long service life. But hold on you say, so what, we don't want to use our binos underwater thanks! Well actually that's not really why they are waterproofed. True you might lose them over the side of a boat and its good that you can fish them out again - they even float. But no, it's the more general value of full waterproofing that is most worthwhile and a more general indicator of build quality. Waterproofing that is this good is guaranteeing that the binos will stand hard rain, and being dragged through a snow covered bush when you slip over in Winter! Waterproofing to this standard is also indicating the overall quality of build and likely performance longevity - specified high performance waterproofing requires rigid, reliable and very precise engineering and this, in turn, guarantees a high standard of performance for the binocular as a whole (holding the lenses and prisms reliably in position for many years service etc). The waterproofing also means this bino can go into any environment - dust, sand, snow - where ever you go the Adler goes with you! If it gets dropped in sand on the beach - no problem, just rinse with water and let it air-dry. So high specification waterproofing to a recognised standard is something like a 24 carat hallmark for binoculars and guarantees a high standard of overall performance from the mechanics and not just the ability to keep the inside dry!
