The Ultra is a simple and lightweight way to mount any camera on to any astro-telescope with a 1.25" eyepiece holder and take pictures thru the instrument's eyepiece. The Ultra does not use your camera's filter ring, instead the tripod socket carries the camera's weight, just as the camera manufacturer intended.
