The Junior LCD microscope is radically different from every other microscope on the market! For a start there are no eyepieces, this is a microscope of the twenty first century it is fully electronic!

The specimen is displayed on the microscope’s LCD Screen for all to see. Digital images and videos can be captured to the internal memory or SD card or it can be exported to a computer via the USB cable supplied.

The objective lenses which are easily selected by rotating the focus control on the side of the microscope give magnifications of 4x, 10x and 40x.

The internal light source can be adjusted to suit the specimen under observation via the convenient control on the microscopes base.

SnS personal comment: This is a great little digital microscope and is designed for the younger user (8+). It has features you would expect to find on a much more expensive instrument. The clever design introduces children to the fun aspects of enquiry and micro-investigation without the intimidation of complex or fragile equipment. Initial setup requires a moderate level of adult supervision - but the careful child could use the product unaided. The microscope is ultra-easy to use, and there is no risk of specimen slides being broken by collisions with the objective lens. Although not a low-cost item, like some of our other junior microscopes, the design features single this microscope out as the most sophisticated and capable junior microscope available on the UK market. Highly recommended.
