The Pentacon Eiger CN 10x26WP normally sells for £69.95 - we're offering them for just £34.99 inc UK p&p!. These superb compact roof rubber armoured and fully waterproof and nitrogen filled binoculars offer 10x magnification with wide-angle viewing performance (half a degree more even than the 8x version!) in an ultra-rugged compact body. They are fully waterproof and can stand immersion in 3 metres of water for 2 minutes. The Eiger is nitrogen gas filled to eliminate fogging due to temperature change. The CN 10x26WP Eiger compact binos are ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors in all seasons and yet they are just as ideal for someone who prefers to remain snug indoors and observe the wild birds that can be seen through the kitchen window - and that's because these lightweight fully waterproof binoculars focus down to less than 4m. The stylish modern design and total rubber armour covering gives maximum protection and grip, whilst making the binocular easy to hold when wet, even with gloved hands. Fold-down rubber eye-cups ensure user comfort and good field of view for those with or without spectacles. They are supplied with padded soft carry-case and extra wide floatation strap (so binoculars will not sink if dropped in water!) What's so great about the Pentacon Eiger? The Eiger CN 10x26WP is a superb compact roof prism bino with the build quality that is much higher than its modest price point would suggest - this is a great value binocular with fully anti-reflection coated BaK4 optics. The lightweight folding design ensures this binoclar never stays home. But it's the engineering that really makes this bino stand out from its price class. It's not just waterproof or shower-proof: it's waterproof to a standard that can withstand immersion to a depth of 3m for a period of two minutes! But hold on you say, so what, we don't want to use our binos underwater thanks! Well actually that's not really why they are waterproofed. True you might lose them over the side of a boat and it's good that you can fish them out again. But no, it's the more general value of full waterproofing that is most worthwhile and a more general indicator of build quality. Waterproofing that is this good is guaranteeing that the binos will stand hard rain, and being dragged through a snow covered bush when you stumble in Winter etc. Waterproofing to this standard is also indicating the overall quality of build and likely performance longevity - specified high performance waterproofing requires rigid, reliable and very precise engineering and this, in turn, guarantees a high standard of performance for the binocular as a whole (holding the lenses and prisms reliably in position for many years etc). So waterproofing to a recognised standard is something like a 24 carat hallmark for binoculars and guarantees a high standard of overall performance from the mechanics and not just the ability to keep the inside dry! Supplied with case and extra-wide floatation neck strap. Specification Magnification: 10x Close focus: 4m FOV: 114m @ 1000m Angle of view: 6.5 degrees Fully rubber armoured: Colour - dark grey Size: 119mm x 70mm x 51mm Glass: BaK-4 Weight: 308g A great price for a superbly compact bino for the outdoor enthusiast! | ||||||
