Sirroco-HR High Resolution waterproof binoculars. Ideal for Birdwatching and nature study. High quality waterproof binoculars with robust but lightweight rubber-armoured, magnesium alloy chassis. Phase matched prisms for clearer sharper viewsBroadband multi-coated (FMC) optics and state-of-the-art phase-corrected BaK-4 prisms deliver stunning optical performance. Nitrogen purged body cavities The empty spaces in the body of the Sirroco-HR have been purged with inert Nitrogen gas to ensure that regardless of the environmental conditions the internal optics will remain clear and show no sign of misting or fogging. With ordinary binoculars without nitrogen filling the optics can fog up on the inside when you transfer the binocular from a warm environment, say the inside of a car, to cold outdoor conditions (and vise versa). Near focus just 2.2m The Sirroco features an excellent near focus point of 2.5m (that's just tuppence under 8 feet in old money!) making the binocular ideal for close-up and personal surveillance of wildlife from hides or even the bird-table diners outside your kitchen window! Long eye-relief eyepieces Comfortable soft rubber, twist-up, eye-cups and a generous eye-relief of 16mm make the Sirroco an ideal choice for all users including spectacle wearers. The importance of long eye-relief The term eye-relief refers to the maximum distance from the surface of the front lens of your eye to the first lens of the binocular eyepiece that will still allow you to see a full field of view. It's important to have generous eye-relief if the user is a spectacle wearer and would like to leave their eye-wear in place while using the binocular. Remember, if you have even a slight astigmatism of the lens of either eye you will benefit from sharper images if you keep your prescription eye-wear in place when using binoculars and other optical aids. The Sirocco is equipped with a tripod mounting bush (requires additional tripod bracket - not included). Supplied with neckstrap and carry case. Specifications:
