This Velbon Sherpa 200R tripod is designed for heavy duty field use of spotting scopes, binoculars and cameras. It features all metal construction with a super smooth pan & tilt head.

The Sherpa 200R's rigid metal legs and precision aluminium alloy head and sturdy leg locks make it a joy to use. But it's the smooth, robust pan & tilt head that make this tripod such an ideal tool for spotting scope or camera plus telephoto lens mounting.

The Sherpa 200R is a portable all metal precision made field tripod and features a smooth operating pan & tilt head with an all metal quick-release instrument mounting platform. The head is equipped with a chunky single action pan & tilt control handle.

The tripod features a large quick release platform that locks in to position using an all metal dovetail system. Flick a lever down and the telescope or camera can be removed instantly and swapped for another instrument. Additional quick release plates are available seperatly.

The tripod has the rigidity you would expect from its all metal (stainless steel and aluminium) construction. It has heavy duty feet with hard anti-vibration rubber shoes that are ideal for all surfaces.

The Velbon Sherpa 200R is made entirely from cast and machined aluminium alloy with stainless steel parts and at a maximum height of 1.72m (just over 66") it's one of the highest and most rigid tripods in our range and yet weighs in at under 2.5kg! The tripod features a reversible centre column for macro photography.

The tripod will easily hold spotting scopes, binoculars (with additional bracket) and cameras up to 5 kilos and above.

This is a great tripod for large spotting scopes, cameras or the largest binoculars with a support bracket.
