#11 Yellow/Green

Useful for reducing chromatic aberration seen in achromatic refractors, and for glare reduction while observing the moon.

#12 Yellow

Glare reduction and contrast enhancement.

Note that the use of colour filters when making telescopic observations is not an exact science and the recommendations above are somewhat subjective in character.

The appearance of the target and the detail improvement shown by a particular filter varies with the conditions – experimentation is the key.  Remember: filters can be combined!
