This great-value 1.25" Antares and GSO eyepiece kit normally sells for over £50 and is designed to provide replacements to the poor quality eyepieces supplied with many astronomy starter scopes!

It is a fact that the optical performance of many starter scopes is greatly superior than the views offered by the eyepieces supplied with them would at first suggest.

Why is this?

Modern astronomy starter telescopes offer amazing value for money and it's hardly surprising that there has been some significant corner-cutting and cost savings made in the manufacturing. And most of these economies have been made in the quality of the accessories and eyepieces supplied bundled with the scope. The good news is that the accessories and eyepieces can be cheaply upgraded and the performance of the telescope greatly enhanced.

The upgrade kit comprises three eyepieces:

1x 9mm Super Plossl medium to high power eyepiece ideal for planetary observing. The four element design offers high contrast views and works well with Barlow lenses for even higher power performance.

1x 20mm Super Plossl, a super low to medium power eyepiece with a wide 52 degree apparent field of view and bright crisp views of outstanding contrast. The eyepiece has long eye-relief and performs excellently with a Barlow lens.

1x 32mm Super Plossl, a super low power wide-field eyepiece ideal for exploring the greatest wonders of the night sky - it's galaxies and nebulae. This great eyepiece will bring out some of the most powerful aspects of your telescope, its wide field of view and its light gathering power.

The three eyepieces in this kit all have fold-down rubber eyecups and are threaded for standard filters. Each eyepiece is supplied is a plastic bolt-bottle for moisture and dust-free storage. The eyepieces are ideal for use with the great majority of refracting and reflecting starter scopes that use 1.25" eyepieces manufactured by Meade, Celestron, Tasco, Bushnell, Jason, B&L, and Bresser.
