AC571 1.25" MinVB anti-fringing filter.
Reduces achromatic halo effects and improves resolution.
The Astro Engineering AC571 MinVB filter is one of the best ways of improving the resolution and contrast of achromatic refracting telescopes. The blue and violet halos commonly seen around bright objects can be a significant problem with popular refractors. Our anti-fringing filter will minimise this effect and introduce the minimum amount of colour bias (yellow).
Simply screw the filter to the front of your eyepiece, and the result is better planetary definition (especially noticeable when viewing Jupiter) and generally enhanced contrast and colour definition. Suitable for all achromatic refracting telescopes with 1.25" eyepiece holders. The filter blocks violet and blue light <450nm and passes 95% of all other wavelengths.
Supplied in a dust and shockproof case.
