Good quality 2x Barlow lens with all metal front and rear barrals.

Fully achromatic design for maximum contrast. The Barlow is ideal for use with low-powered (long focal length) eyepieces to deliver higher powers, but with maximum eye-relief and viewing comfort. This is a good quality Barlow with all metal front and rear barrels for high-powered views with a high standard of colour correction at classic Scopes'n'Skies low price - ideal for planetary and lunar observing. Best performance when used with long focal length eyepieces (8mm and longer).

So what's so great about this low-cost Barlow?

Well, for a start, we think £30 to £35 would be the expected price for a Barlow of this quality. We've seen lots of low cost Barlows come and go (Indeed, we've probably sold more of them than any one else in Europe!) but this one is a bit special. The optics are good quality and will greatly upgrade the typical Barlows recieved as part of a starter scope set. But it's the all metal enginnering of the fore and aft barrels that really sets this Barlow apart. They are well made and tough enough to carry heavy cameras for astro-photographic work. Highly recommended for astronomers on a tight budget (er... that's most of us isn't it? James SnS).

Ideal upgrade for all starter scopes!
