These binos are a great for general use being of moderate size, light-weight and easy to handle. The binocular features a wider field of view than the standard 8x30 design. The 8x30 size is regarded as a something of a classic size for general usage and even now is still particularly favoured for use at horse racing events.

The Vanguard WA is a serious binocular for the budding astronomer too: younger astronomers will appreciate the easy to handle aspect of the bino's moderate magnification and light-weight. All lenses and prisms are BK-7 glass with all glass surfaces are fully anti-reflection coated. The eyepieces feature fold-down rubber eye-guards - making this binocular ideal for spectacle wearers. The rugged rubber armoured body has a comfortable high quality feel and features a tripod fitting bush.
