The ScopeTeknix Bino-Solar-Finder is a combined mounting bracket and projection Sun finder for Solar binoculars. Ideal for use with all large Solar viewing binoculars like our own SolarZoom (and Coronado models).

Made from rigid steel the heavy duty bracket fits easily to all our tripods as well as all standard camera tripods and and can be used with any binocular with a standard tripod bracket fitting point.

The Solar finder attaches to the top-plate of the bracket with nylon screws and can be permanently collimated with the binocular with a self-adhesive target face or temporarily collimated (per observing session) with a special magnetic target face (made out of the material that is used for fridge magnets!). The finder works by simply projecting a bright image of the Sun onto a target face. Once collimated with the binocular, simply steer the binocular so the image of the Sun appear centred in the bull's eye at the centre of the target and the Sun will be ready for viewing in your Solar binocular.

Of course, the Solar finder is not to be used with ordinary binoculars and must only be used in conjunction of properly manufactured, safe Solar observing binoculars.

This versatile binocular mounting bracket uses standard two-hole fitting on the top-plate so it can also be used to attach an optical or red-dot finder to any binocular. See recommended accessories.
