Close focus just 3m - Ideal for garden birdwatching

Binoculars are not only designed for distant viewing. The CN 10-40x zoom has a close focus point of only 3m (9.5ft) making it ideal for garden bird and even insect spotting (great for butterfly observing). Just place your feeder or bird table within a few feet of a good window and be amazed at the beautiful feather detail you will see in this superb binocular.

Fold-down rubber eyecups

The CN zoom binocular features soft rubber eyecups that allow the eyecups to be raised or lowered making the bino suitable for users with and without eye-glasses.

These super compact porro prism binoculars have larger brighter lenses than our other compact porro zooms and as a result the body is slightly larger and heavier - this is a small price to pay for the improved perfomance offered by the larger primary optics. They offer a wide zoom range from a moderately high 10x to an powerful 40x magnification! Holding a binocular of over 16x magnification can be a challenge, these CN zooms are so light we had good viewing even at 20 to 25x without any form of support (resting elbows, leaning on wall etc). Beyond 25x we needed to rest at least one elbow on a window sill or door jam.

Tripod bracket included

To minimise the effects of vibration and shake the Praktica CN is supplied with a useful tripod bracket that fits to the binocular when required.

Extra light-weight and excellent BK-7 optical performance make this powerful optical instrument great for hiking and trekking. The zoom function (see picture) is a simple finger or thumb slider that moves smoothly from 10x to 40x (with all magnifications in between of course). The top quality optics have anti-reflection coatings on all surfaces.

The primary lenses and prisms have multi-coated anti-reflection coatings that enhances the image contrast and allows better penetration through haze. The internal and external coatings guarantee significantly higher light transmission. The body is profiled for hand-holding comfort and secure grip.
