Binocular essentials, useful information about binocular terminology

These top-brand binoculars normally sell for £119.95 but we've got them reduced to £89.99 (while stocks last).

We get asked "Why do you include such a small aperture binocular in your astronomy section?" It's true, we don't usually recommend 32mm diameter optics for astronomy, but when you've seen the night sky with the 13 degree field of view of this extraordinary binocular you'll understand why!

This top quality Bresser SWA (Super Wide Angle) porro prism binocular offers jaw-dropping wide-angle views of the sky. Favoured for sporting and other "fast viewing" activities (fast viewing means any situations where it's important to see the action the instant you put the binoculars to your eyes without the need to sweep the glasses around looking for the target). However, the super wide-angle vistas offered by the SWA also make this binocular truly stunning when used for astronomy. The combination of relatively low-power and wide-field is visually thrilling and once you've looked at star fields through SWAs - there's no going back to ordinary binoculars! Just check the spec: 234m at 1000m! A standard binocular would offer only 130m at 1000m!

As usual with Bresser premium binoculars, all the prisms and lenses are made from BaK-4 glass and together with the comprehensive multi-coatings on all glass surfaces, deliver luminous, high contrast and high definition images with excellent colour rendering. The aluminium body has non-slip and ergonomic rubber armour panels to ensure a secure and strain free grip even in damp dewy conditions. A chunky focus knob allows gloved hands on cold nights to find and adjust the focusing with ease. The 7x32 SWA has a tripod fitting bush allowing standard camera tripods to be used as a support. Though we'd have to admit that the best way to use the Bresser 7x32 SWAs is to sit in a deck chair, plug your eyes into the eyepieces and just lose yourself in the stars! (Ok,ok, don't actually "lose yourself" - use a star atlas and have fun just sweeping around discovering stuff - you knew just what we meant!)

Includes rain-guard dust caps, soft carry-case with waist "pod" strap and neck strap.
