The new Bresser Safari large aperture 80mm spotting scope combines precision optical design and lightweight portability at a mould-breaking price! The Bresser Safari delivers all the performance you would expect from one of the world's biggest and most respected telescope makers.

Powerful zoom eyepiece

Designed for the serious birder and outdoor enthusiast on a budget, the Safari 80mm zoom spotting scope features a comfortable 45 degree 20x to 60x zoom eyepiece delivering sharp, clear images at long and short range viewing distances. The zoom range is ideal for serious field use with the medium 20x to 30x magnfication at the start of the zoom range being good for target location and wider field viewing. The high power magnifications are ideal for detailed observations even in poor light (deeply overcast, twilight etc). The Safari spotting scope is constructed from lightweight polycarbonate and then rubber armour covered for quiet, safe handling in the field and to protect the instrument from the bumps and knocks of a lifetime of regular use. Simply twist the eyepiece to alter the zoom magnification smoothly from 20x all the way up to 60x (with all magnifications inbetween of course).

For bright, high contrast views the Safari 80mm has superb fully anti-reflection-coated BaK4 prisms and lenses.

Lightweight polycarbonate construction The Bresser Safari spotting scopes are manufactured from dense polycarbonate greatly reducing the overall weight also making it extremely rugged and durable.

Rubber armour covered – A rugged rubber armor covering quiets down those bumps and protects the Safari spotting scope from abrasions and damage from regular use. Even more protection and convenience is afforded by the brilliant stay-on "action jacket" padded carry case. The carry case can be left on the scope in use - even when attached to tripods, with all the controls are fully accessible.

Waterproof, fog proof & nitrogen purged ensure many years of reliable performance. The scope is nitrogen purged to ensure the views stay crystal clear regardless of temperature changes (in and out of warm cars, hides etc).

Built-in sliding sunshade – The Safari features a sliding sunshade that is built-in to the objective lens of the scope to further reduce glare. The front lens-cap is tethered on to the scope and conveniently pops on the sunshade out of the way when viewing.

The Safari spotting scope can be used with small digital as well as large SLR (digital or film) cameras. Suitable adaptors are available seperatly.
