There are many situations, when digital SLR astro imaging through refractors, when you can not use a 90 degree star diagonal to make viewing the LCD panel on the camera convenient for framing and focusing.

Simply attach the SLR mirror device to the tripod fitting point of your (Nikon, Canon etc) SLR camera and get a perfect view of the LCD screen without the need for a double-jointed neck! Works with all digital cameras for frameing and taget centering but is particularly useful when used with the Canon 20Da as the mirror allows perfect 90 degree focusing.
