Redtail 90mm spotting scope The new 90mm RedTail spotting scope from Bresser (a part of the Meade group) is designed for the outdoor enthusiast who wants to go the distance. The RedTail scope features higher magnifications and the larger objective lens needed to view things up close. Redtail“s high-quality lenses and anti-reflection optical coatings provide crisp resolution and image contrast. Multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 Prisms - the RedTail spotter features high index BaK-4 prisms and high-quality, precision ground lenses that are coated with multiple layers of anti-reflection coatings to provide optical performance that is equal to, or better than any spotting scope in its class.

8x42 Activ binocular

This rugged weatherproof BaK 4 binocular is perfect for bird and wildlife observing!

The Activ 8x42WP provide high definition images that will please the most discerning and experienced observer. Robust and precise mechanics round out these superb binoculars. It is only natural that BaK-4 glass has been manufactured into these binoculars and that the optical surfaces have been fully multi-coated (FMC) to increase luminosity and contrast.

High light grasp optics With their 42mm objective lenses delivering brilliant images in all lighting conditions (twilight, shaded woodland etc) the Activ 8x42WP is the ideal glass for the field trips of the serious birder or wildlife spotter.

Long eye relief eyepieces with rubber screw down eyeshields allow a full field of view for spectacle wearers (see middle picture showing one eyepiece in the down position).

The Activ 8x42WP has a standard tripod fitting point - an additional bracket is required (see left).

Supplied complete with soft padded carrying case, neck straps and eyepiece rain guard - objective dust caps are tethered to prevent loss.

1395 all-metal field tripod

The highly portable Bresser 1395 field tripod features a smooth ball and socket head featuring an metal quick release plate (image 1 & 2)- flick a lever and the scope can be removed instantly. The quick release system has a safety catch (1)to keep your equipment securely in place even when carrying the tripod with the spotting scope attached.

The tripod has the rigidity you would expect from its all metal construction. The 1395 is made entirely from cast and machined aluminium alloy with stainless steel legs and other parts and is our lightest all metal tripod weighing in at only 2.1kg! The tripod features a centre stay or leg-brace system that locks into position.(see btm picture).

The centre column height is controlled by a conveniently placed folding crank handle (image 3). The tripod is ideal for the Redail spotting scope, and will also hold the binocular (with additional bracket - see left) and cameras up to 3 kilos in weight.

A great feature of this precision made tripod is the robust and user adjustable leg locks. A few years in to the life of a tripod there is nothing more annoying than a leg lock that starts to slip through normal wear and usage. With most tripods you just live with it as long as you can and then throw it away. The Bresser 1395 has fully user adjustable leg-locks and can be adjusted to the optimum tension regardless of wear.

The complete kit is supplied in a tough padded carry-case (see picture) that holds all three items and has room for a book and notepad or two. The Activ binocular also has it's own carry case.
