This beautifully made green laser pointer produces a brilliant green beam that can produce a bright spot on a house roof or a wall over a mile away!

It's perfect for pointing out stars and constellations in the sky - the green laser will actually show up against the dark sky and also produce a bright spot at the apparent end of the beam.

The laser is in a polished chrome finish with push button instant on/off switch and pocket pen clip. Supplied in metal storage case. The laser runs on 2x AAA alkaline batteries (included).

SNS comment: We think this is a great product and we are enjoying using ours - especially as telescope finders using the Astro Engineering AC666 finder bracket - but we have noted some examples of irresponsible not to say criminal use of green laser pointers around the world and in the UK.

The device is safe if handled responsibly. Allowing the beam to enter the eye could cause permanent damage to the retina. And it is enough that many people believe that "laser radiation" (it sure sounds nasty!)is dangerous to make it an act of idiotic irresponsibility to point the beam at people in fun - frightening people just isn't funny regardless of how harmless the beam may (at long range)actually be. It's like pointing a replica gun at someone - even if the gun's a fake the fear will be real. (James M. SNS)

WARNING: Please read the the following:

This green laser is a powerful instrument and is not suitable for use by children. The laser must not be pointed at people. It is a criminal offence to use a laser to distract the attention of a vehicle driver or aircraft pilot.

We suggest also as an article of good behaviour that this device is not used at star parties and other gatherings of astronomers as many find them just another very annoying form of light pollution - you have been warned!
