The Fieldmaster 50mm ultra compact spotting scope combines unique precision optical design and ultra lightweight portability at a break-through low price! The OVL 50mm delivers all the performance you would expect from a modern state of the art spotting scope - but in the smallest possible package. The telescope has a removable eyepiece and shrinks by over 90mm when collapsed - ideal for overseas travel.

Designed for the serious birder and outdoor enthusiast, the Fieldmaster 50mm zoom spotting scope features a unique rotatable rear turret that allows two viewing modes. Convenient 45 degree viewing or by rotating the turret 180 degrees and relocating the eyepiece - straight through viewing - ideal for eye level and prone position target spotting.

Wide zoom range

The useful 15x to 40x zoom (infinitely variable by just turning the ring around the eyepiece) is ideal for wide angle viewing (to initially pick up target) before zooming in on the detail of the target. 15x is just about hand holdable so the scope can be used for quick viewing in the field without a tripod.

Close focus 5m

Sharp, clear images at long and short range (as close as 5m) viewing distances. The zoom eyepiece features good eye-relief and a comfortable soft fold down eye-cup.

The low-power 15x magnification can is easy to hand hold and you can observe wildlife with the minimum fuss, right were you stand. Even at around 16 to 20x you can still use the scope in your hand - only at the higher powers, from 20 to 40x, does a tripod or other support become mandatory.

Lightweight polycarbonate construction - The Fieldmaster spotting scope is constructed from super-lightweight but ultra-tough rubberised polycarbonate affording quiet, safe handling in the field and a body that will protect the instrument from the bumps and knocks of a lifetime of regular use. The scope is a mid green colour - see pictures.

Carry case included - Even more protection and convenience is afforded by the padded carry case. A highly portable pan and tilt table-top tripod is included and the scope can be fitted to all our and other standard photographic tripods and clamps

Top quality BK-7 optics - For bright, high contrast views the Fieldmaster has fully anti-reflection-coated lenses and prisms made of high-performance BK-7 glass.

Retractable glare and dew shield - The Fieldmaster is equipped with a sliding glare and dew shield for maximum image contrast in all lighting and weather conditions.

Accessories Supplied with carry-case with shoulder strap and rubber front cap and rear dust caps. A rigid all metal pan-&-tilt table-top tripod is included (230mm or 9" high).
