The OVL 50mm delivers all the performance you would expect from a modern state of the art spotting scope - but in the smallest possible package. The telescope has a removable eyepiece and shrinks by over 90mm when collapsed - ideal for overseas travel. Designed for the serious birder and outdoor enthusiast, the Fieldmaster 50mm zoom spotting scope features a unique rotatable rear turret that allows two viewing modes. Convenient 45 degree viewing or by rotating the turret 180 degrees and relocating the eyepiece - straight through viewing - ideal for eye level and prone position target spotting. Wide zoom range The useful 15x to 40x zoom (infinitely variable by just turning the ring around the eyepiece) is ideal for wide angle viewing (to initially pick up target) before zooming in on the detail of the target. 15x is just about hand holdable so the scope can be used for quick viewing in the field without a tripod. Close focus 5m Sharp, clear images at long and short range (as close as 5m) viewing distances. The zoom eyepiece features good eye-relief and a comfortable soft fold down eye-cup.
