The Safari features a powerful zoom eyepiece giving a wide range of magnifiations from a moderate to high power of 20x all the way through to a high of 60x! And the large 60mm aperture optics ensure that the image stays bright whatever the magnification.

Close focus - ideal for field and back-garden use. The Safari will focus down to just 6m (that's less than 20 foot in old money!) making it a great scope to get stunning close-up views of the diners on your bird table (so close in fact, that you'll even be able to see the parasites crawling on their feathers!).

Winged rubber eyecup Comfortable soft rubber eyecup makes the Safari a comfortable scope for all users including spectacle wearers. The eyecup is winged and can be easily and quickly rotated to suit use with either eye.

The smooth running magnification selection and focus knob are both conveniently positioned near the eyepiece and feature large profiled rubber grips for comfortable handeling even with gloved hands (see close up picture).

The all-metal pan & tilt table-top tripod makes moving the telescope quickly to a new target simple and positive.

The table-top tripod attaches to the tube via a standard threaded tripod fitting that allows full height camera tripods to be used with the telescope. The telescope optics are protected by a sliding anti-glare and dew shield.

So what's so great about the Safari zoom?

The Safari is a great value-for-money instrument for high-powered nature watching. For the hide-based birder the sheer convenience and speed of the 20-60x zoom setting and fast focusing will recommend this scope.

Although the scope has a bit too much power for in-the-hand use, it's perfect for longer range viewing from a tripod. The included all-metal table-top tripod offers quick and positive target positioning ideal for viewing wildlife at home or in the field. The scope is lightweight, compact and easily portable but offers the user high standards of performance. The Safari 60mm features a large, high resolution achromatic doublet primary lens with a long focal length.

The Safari is first and formost a spotting and observation scope designed for nature, target and other terrestrial uses. But the telescope also performs well when pointed at astronomical targets. The Moon and brighter planets are truly spectacular when viewed with the Safari high powered optics!

A super scope for the home and field nature watcher!
