The 18mm wide-angle design eyepiece has a simple mono-filament cross-hair reticule with independent focusing and a deep rubber eye-cup that screws up and down with click-stops.
Ideal for alignment, motor and drive training with Meade ETX and LX90, LX200 scopes and photographic guiding as well as a host of other uses with all telescopes.
The reticule filament is semi-transparent and the target can actually be followed through the wire. Can be used with a Barlow for high power guiding and training.
Supplied in a protective bolt bottle.
NB: this eyepiece is non-illuminated.
Experts tip:
It's worth remembering that illumination is not at all vital (or even that desirable in most cases) - indeed most guiding and drive training is best accomplished with the guide star out of focus. The cross hair can be laid over the disc-like de-focussed star image forming a target that looks like the top of a hot-cross bun (OK I admit it, I'm on a diet and can't help images like this at the moment!) and as a result deviations in tracking can be spotted and corrected more easily.
