The Berlebach Uni 18K heavy duty anti-vibration wooden tripod for EQ-5 type german equatorial mountings and is ideal for use with reflecting telescopes.

At first glance a wooden tripod, even one built to Berlebach's outstanding specification, might seem like an old fashioned even a backward step. In fact the use of wood is the ideal 'high-tech' solution to the problem of vibration damping which has bedevilled all metal telescope tripods. The seasoned Ash wood used by Berlebach has proven anti-vibration properties and nulls-out vibration three times quicker than man-made materials. Wood is also lighter and does not feel as cold to the touch in low temperatures.

Berlebach's well-proven UNI tripods for astronomers are excellent working tools and, at our prices, great value for money. With the included attachable tray (37cm) an ultra-stable angle of inclination of approximately 32° can be achieve.

The 18K is ideal for Newtonian reflecting telescopes and is suitable for all EQ-5 type GEMs including: Sky Watcher EQ-5, HEQ-5, Meade LXD55, LXD75, Vixen GE, GPD, GPZ, GPE etc
