The new VSP55 50mm compact spotting scope combines precision optical design, ultra-portability and premium-quality construction in a versatile spotting scope that, at the lowest magnification, can be comfortably held in the hand.

Designed for the bird and wildlife observer on the move, this 12x to 50x compact zoom spotting scopes delivers sharp, crystal clear colour corrected images that make it ideally suited to nature watching. The VSP55 spotting scope is constructed from rigid but light aluminium alloy and has CNC machined high-precision optical mountings to provide a lifetime of top-rank service.

Ultra-fast focusing The convenient and rapid focusing is achieved by the ergonomically positioned eyepiece mounted helical (operates like a camera lens) focus control. It covers 9m to infinity in around a third of a turn, allowing you to stay on the action as it unfolds in a split second.

Fully anti-reflection coated optics with multi-coatings on the objective lens. The VSP55 spotting scope features high-index BaK-4 prisms and high-quality, precision ground lenses that provide optical performance that is equal or superior to any spotting scope in its class.

Lightweight and rigid aluminium alloy construction – The VSP55 spotting scope is manufactured from die-cast aluminium that is then CNC machined to a high precision finish. It's a manufacturing technique that delivers a build quality you can feel the moment you handle the scope. The instrument is rugged and durable, the rigid engineering of the aluminium body and chassis will maintain the optical component positioning for decades of reliable service.

Rubber armour: The metal body is finished in a special rugged rubber-like paint that covers the metal body and quiets down the bumps and protects the spotting scope from abrasions and damage from regular use.
